On Monday, a man is said to have shot his ex-girlfriend and her daughter before taking his own life in Santa Rosa County, Florida. Read on for more details on this potential murder-suicide on the I-10.
Before 9:30 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018, Florida Highway Patrol received a call of shots being fired with multiple victims at a rest stop on I-10 in Santa Rosa County. Three people were found at the scene; a 46-year-old male, his 35-year-old ex-girlfriend, and her 18-year-old daughter.
The suspect, originally from Dallas, reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His ex-girlfriend also died at the scene after being shot. Neither have been identified at this time, as authorities still need to contact next of kin.
The teenage victim, Destiny Salia Snider, was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with serious injuries.
It was reported that the 46-year-old was at the rest stop shortly after his ex-girlfriend arrived with her daughter. He then allegedly shot them as they sat in their car, and shot himself shortly after.
