A 23-year-old mom has been missing in Middlesex County, Virginia since yesterday morning with many signs pointing to a struggle. Police are reaching out to the public for help in finding TerriLynn St. John.
In Middlesex County, Virginia. TerriLynn St. John was in the middle of getting her two young children ready to go off to daycare for the day when the young mother just disappeared. This happened sometime after 7:30 a.m. on February 27, 2018. What was found at her home was enough to worry police, family, and friends.
A broken necklace was by her car, her cell phone was in the bushes, and, most disturbingly, the door to her home was found open. Her two children, ages two and three, were inside the home alone. Looking at all of this evidence paired with her vehicle still being in the driveway, it does not appear that St. John left of her own volition.
The Search for Search for TerriLynn St. John
A search of the surrounding area began shortly after police became involved. In addition to officers, the search made use of dogs and drones as well.
St. John’s family is confident in the fact that she would not have just run away, especially without her two children.
WTVR.com is reporting that the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office has spoken to one or more persons of interest in regards to the case, but that has yet to be confirmed by police.
Though her status is set as single, the photos on St. John’s Facebook page seem to suggest she has been in a romantic relationship with a man named Mac Kennard.
However, her second last public post, a meme saying “Sometimes the best thing you can do is fall out of love,” could indicate difficulties in that area. Especially when taken in context with a number of St. John’s Facebook posts on February 25, 2018; all seem to relate to the same theme. However, this is all speculation.
Police have not indicated any possible reason or motive behind St. John’s disappearance at this time. Nor have they named any particular person of interest.
The focus right now is on finding the young mother.
