Forty-seven-year-old Scott Mayer is described as 5’9″ tall and approximately 170 pounds. He has light brown hair that is usually cut very short.

Mayer was last seen at 11:23 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, near TPC Parkway area on the north side, close to Highway 281. He was last seen driving a 2010 blue-gray Ford Escape with Texas license plate BB26128. The SUV has two distinctive stickers on it.

The first is on the back-windshield of the vehicle: it’s a Johnson Swimming Varsity Macey sticker with the image of a swimmer. The second is a silver University of Texas Longhorns logo that is near the license plate.

Community Searches and Prays for Scott Mayer

The search for Mayer hasn’t lagged; in fact, the community is rallying on his behalf.

On May 9, the Facebook page set up by his family, “Find Scott Mayer,” said that more than 450 people, three planes, and two helicopters had been out looking for the missing man that day.

The page also mentioned that some potential leads had come in, which they of course handed off to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

A prayer vigil was held for Scott Mayer at 5:3-0 p.m. on May 10, 2018. It was held at Coker United Methodist Church in San Antonio, Texas. The church shared a live feed of the vigil.
