Police Looking for Teen Who Stabbed a 13-Year-Old Girl over Instagram Post in Germantown

A post on social media led to a Philadelphia teen being stabbed, and her attacker going into hiding.

Instagram Post Leads to a Confrontation

Details are still coming in, but according to Philadelphia police, a 13-year-old girl and her friend got into a fight with a 15-year-old.

Allegedly, the altercation began over an Instagram post at approximately 6:00 p.m. on April 3, in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, near Germantown Avenue and Slocum Street.

The argument got heated, and the 15-year-old suspect pulled out a black handled kitchen knife and stabbed the 13-year-old girl in the abdomen. After one stab, the suspect then fled.

Police Involvement

The authorities were quickly called, and the victim was taken to Temple University Hospital. Surgery was required, but the victim is currently in stable condition.

In the meantime, police are still investigating the incident, and searching for the suspect. According to police, the victim’s friend, who was present during the argument, has been cooperating with the investigation.
