Police Investigate Arson at Pomona Playground Fire

A playground at an elementary school was lit ablaze this morning. Pomona, California firefighters and police want to know why.

A Covered Playground Alight

Los Angeles County firefighters and police were called into a 6:00 a.m. fire at Montvue Elementary School at 1440 San Bernardino Ave.

Upon their arrival, firefighters found the playground apparatus in flames. The fire was quickly put out, but the damage to the playground was done. Luckily, the fire did not spread beyond the playground equipment and took place before school began for the day.
