Pflugerville Police Investigating a Suspicious Package Downtown

Pflugerville Police Chief Jessica Robledo posted a video on the department’s Facebook page stating that local authorities are investigating a suspicious package. Here is everything you need to know about the case.

The Pflugerville Police Department received a call about a suspicious package, and currently, officials are investigating the case and package.

Police Chief Jessica Robledo released a video statement on Facebook. In the video, she said that officials have been in the downtown Pflugerville area for quite some time because of a reported suspicious package.

She also revealed that suspicious behavior was reported around the mailbox on the 200 block of Second Street. They are currently investigating the package and hope to find an answer soon.

Robledo added that no further details are available at this time. She also asked residents of Pflugerville to call 911 if they find or see anything suspicious.

The Pflugerville Police Department asked the public to be careful and not to handle, pick up, or disturb packages. Residents have been asked to call the FBI Tip Line at 800-225-5324 or Capital Area Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477.

Several residents have been asked to stay indoors. A Marshall’s Tavern, at 113 E. Pecan St., employee explained that they were asked to stay inside by Pflugerville police.

People living downtown said that they could hear helicopters and drones overhead. Since the Austin package bombings, many neighboring cities and towns are on alert with regards to handling packages.
