Victims of Parkland Florida School Shooting: Innocent Lives Lost Due to a Madman’s Rampage!

Agony and pain were in the air on Valentine’s day in Florida, as a teenager opened fire at his former high school. The mass murderer, identified as Nikolas Cruz, was armed with a semiautomatic AR-15 rifle. He was expelled from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School earlier. Here are the details of the Parkland Florida shooting victims.

The death toll quickly rose to 17 after the deranged gunman continuously fired at students, teachers, and staff. He barged into the school, fully armed, and began shooting at people. In the process, 12 innocent people lost their lives inside the school itself, and many are battling for their lives at the hospital. Cruz was arrested within hours of the shooting.

Nikolas Cruz went on a shooting rampage outside his high school at about 2:40 p.m., a little before the dismissal time. Many students who could escape the wrath of the open fire began filming videos on their phones while running away.

The videos show battered bodies on the ground, with screaming and gunshot sounds in the background.

Parents and officials came rushing to look for their children and save anyone they could, but for more than 15 families, the day proved tragic.

There were thousands of posts on Facebook and other social media for children who were missing. Families were desperate to find even a sliver of information about their kids.

Jamie Guttenberg was one such person whose picture was circulated on social media. Her parents, Jennifer and Fred Guttenberg, frantically searched for her outside the school. The post was later removed from Facebook after the family learned the painful truth about their daughter being dead. Her brother Jesse made it home safe.

16 people were rushed to Broward Medical Center, Broward Health North, or Broward Health Coral Springs.

The hospitals received some people who were in life-threatening conditions and others who could be revived, but according to some early reports, two to three people died after reaching the hospital for treatment.

Another victim who was being searched for heavily was Ben Wikander. The child hadn’t contacted anyone on Wednesday afternoon, and his worried parents began locating his iPhone through the Find My iPhone app.

His location was showing that he was at a hospital, but when the parents reached the place, nobody could help them find their son. A couple of hours later, the Wikander family learned that Ben was shot thrice and was in Broward North getting treated.

Another victim of the Florida School shooting, whose family released a photo to help locate her, was Jennifer Montalto. Her aunt posted a picture of her, after not being able to locate the girl near the school or in hospitals.

She was described to be wearing a floral burgundy top with ripped jeans. This post was shared more than 12,000 times.

Martin Duque was being searched by his relative Chris DeVito, and he posted, “My nephews and son are students at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas,” DeVito said. “We have located all but one. Can you please post this picture.”

Some other Parkland, Florida school shooting victims are Alyssa Alhadeff, Meadow Pollack, Cara Loughran, Nicholas Dworet, Meadow Pollack, Joaquin Oliver, and many more who are possibly still missing.
