A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in Chicago. The two men believed to be responsible are now in custody. We’ve got the latest on this breaking story.
Robbery Gone Bad
On April 30 at approximately 11:25 p.m., near the 7100 block of South State Street, a 17-year-old boy was heading into a store when he was approached by two other males. The two men attempted to rob the 17-year-old and ended up shooting him in the neck.
The two men fled in a Mazda, which then crashed a short time later.
Officers with the Chicago Police Department quickly arrested two suspects.
Victim in the Hospital
The 17-year-old victim was transported to Stroger Hospital. As of this writing, he was listed in critical condition.
No information on the two suspects, including their age or identities, has been released at this time.
