Cincinnati police have issued a statement regarding an officer-involved shooting. The press was briefed in the early hours of May 3, 2018. To the residents of Kenneth and Atwood, it came as a relief that nobody was hurt.
There was a police-involved shooting on Kenneth and Atwood Avenues in Cincinnati, Ohio late at night, but authorities said that the officers involved were not hurt. It was also mentioned that the suspect, 32-year-old Khayree Waller, sustained some “minor injuries” after his red Toyota hatchback crashed.
Cops closed the street for a couple of hours to thoroughly search for evidence that might help their investigation.
Waller was arrested “without further incident” for allegedly firing at police.
The officers were met with gunfire and a chase that led them through I-75, I-74, and Hamilton Avenue. But the situation was brought under control and the suspect was arrested in College Hill.
An officer told the press that they are trying to speak to witnesses and residents in the area for more information about the incident and any related occurrences in the neighborhood.
