On Sunday (March 4, 2018) evening, a group of adults and teenagers were in a house on Mercury Drive in Atlanta, Georgia. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the house at around 7:00 p.m. Later, Atlanta police arrived on the scene and began investigating the shooting.
Victim Succumbs to Injuries
The teenager was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle, but subsequently died of his injuries. Investigators believe that there were three or four juveniles in the home when the weapon was discharged and fired. Police also believe that around eight people, including some adults, were in the house at the time of the shooting.
Atlanta Police Investigating the Shooting
Officials said that Carlos Davis, the victim, did not live in the house where the shooting occurred and that the homeowners were present. At the moment, police have not determined the motive for the shooting and are examining the sequence of events that led to the tragic death of Carlos Davis. The investigation is still ongoing.
