Claire Was a Crossing Guard for Deer Valley Unified School District

The Long Beach, California native graduated from Red Rock High School in 1999.

For a period of time in 2014, it seems as though Claire was a sales representative for Silpada, a company selling sterling silver jewelry made from ethically sourced materials.

Court documents state that Claire worked for Esperanza Elementary School in Deer Valley Unified School District for only one month before her May 11 arrest.

Details about her other previous employment are unknown at this time.

According to her Facebook profile, Claire has been engaged to Dunlap since 2015. The court records show they were living together at the time of the arrest.

Several photos on their social media show the couple with three young boys. It’s not known if these are their children.

On Facebook, a man (who we won’t name in order to protect the privacy of the minor victim) commented on the photo of a young girl posted by Marisa Claire. He wrote that the girl pictured is his daughter, Claire’s “honorary niece.” Dykes also claimed that his daughter told him that she was molested by Dunlap. These allegations have not yet been confirmed.

Following Claire’s arrest, the elementary school sent out a letter to parents confirming the former crossing guard’s arrest, charges, and hinting at her dismissal.
