Infant Found Dead in Crawl Space of Pennsylvania Home, Parents Arrested

Police searched an apartment in Springfield Township, Pennsylvania, after receiving a tip about a dead child from a relative of the child’s parents. The dead body of their six-month-old daughter was found in the crawl space of their apartment. The couple were charged with several crimes.

The death of a child is a tragedy no matter what the reason. Especially in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, where police found the body of a six-month-old girl in a crawl space under the steps leading to the second floor of the building. The body is believed to be the daughter of Shaun Oxenreider, 25, and Samantha Trump, 27.

Body Found in Trash Bag

Police searched their apartment complex in Springfield Township on late Monday, March 19, 2018, after receiving a tip from a relative, who heard from Oxenreider that the child died. Police found the body in a garbage bag that was placed in a plastic container along with cat litter.

Charges Filed against Parents

Samantha Trump “dropped to the ground and went into convulsions” as police questioned her, and had to be hospitalized. However, both she and Oxenreider were charged with concealing the death of a child, abuse of a corpse, and conspiracy. Oxenreider was held on a $250,000 bond.

An autopsy of the infant is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Police are still investigating the case.
