Authorities received a tip on Tuesday (November 27) and acquired a warrant to search White’s residence on Ashwood Drive. On Thursday, narcotic agents found cocaine, marijuana, “Xanax,” and “Adderall” in his home and made the arrest.

Although he has been charged with possession with intent to distribute, there’s no evidence that he was distributing the drugs at the high school.

White Has Been Placed on Administrative Leave

Both Dutch Fork High School and Lexington-Richland School District 5 released statements confirming White’s arrest. The school district put White on administrative leave as a result of his arrest.

The district and school have said they are cooperating with the sheriff’s office in the investigation. An excerpt from the district’s statement reads:

“As the assistant principal, White was in a position of authority and influence. Sheriff Lott is asking parents to speak with their children about the circumstances surrounding an assistant principal’s arrest and explain the dangers of drugs. This situation brings to light that drugs affect not only the individual but the community.”

The district declared through the statement that they take all tips seriously and urged anyone with information about illegal activity to contact the sheriff’s office. They declined to further comment on the issue.
