Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel has been successfully evading the FBI for three years now. Allegedly a dangerous, cold-blooded individual, the FBI is offering up to $100,000 for any information that leads to Patel’s location and arrest. Wanted on multiple charges of murder and assault, he is believed to have murdered his wife at their mutual workplace. Read on to find out more about this fugitive, in our Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel wiki.
Patel is one of the more recent additions to the FBI’s Most Wanted list. He is wanted for first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
The charges were laid after he was presumed to have killed his wife, Palak Patel, in April 2015 at a doughnut store where they both worked in Hanover, Maryland. She was only 21 at the time.
According to the FBI, Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. Given how he allegedly had no problem killing his own wife, he’d likely have no problem harming anyone else.
A native of India who had not been in the U.S. for very long at the time of the murder, Patel has ties to New Jersey, Illinois, Georgia, and Kentucky, as well as Canada. He is 5’9″ and 165 pounds.
Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel Wiki: Who Is He?
Born on May 15, 1990, 28-year-old, Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel was born and raised in Kantrodi Ta Viramgam, Gujarat, India. It was there where he met his wife, Palak.
Shortly after marrying, the couple came to the United States, where they moved around for a period. They eventually settled in Hanover, Maryland, where Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel had relatives.
One of these family members owned and operated a Dunkin’ Donuts at 7567 Arundel Mills Blvd. They hired the Patels to work there while they lived in an apartment just across the street.
What Did Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel Allegedly Do to Palak Patel?
On April 12, 2015, Bhadreshkumar and Palak Patel were working the night shift at the Dunkin’ Donuts. Although there were customers at the front of the store, the two employees ended up in a back room.
At the time, Palak was on a phone call with a family member. Bhadreshkumar and Palak walked into a back room while Palak was still on the phone. And that’s where Bhadreshkumar is alleged to have stabbed his wife repeatedly.
Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel then left the store. The incident was caught in full by the restaurant’s security cameras. The recording was made available to the public, with the omission of the murder itself.
The video only shows the couple going to the back room and then Patel coming out on his own and leaving the building, presumably leaving Palak dead or dying in the back room. See below.
After leaving the Dunkin’ Donuts, Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel walked back to the couple’s shared apartment, where he retrieved some money and personal belongings.
He then hailed a taxi, which took him to a hotel near Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. He checked in around 3:00 a.m. on April 13 and checked out at 10:00 a.m. the next day.
From there, he took a hotel shuttle to Newark Penn Station, which is where authorities lost track of him.
“Palak was young, the scene was very brutal, and she died in a horrible way,” said Anne Arundel County Police Department Det. Kelly Harding. “That’s the kind of person that we’re dealing with—that he could murder his wife and then the next minute, just calmly walk away.”
What Was Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel’s Suspected Motive?
Those investigating the case have theorized that Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel’s alleged slaying of his wife had something to do with the fact that the couple’s travel visas had expired a month prior to the murder.
During her fateful final phone call, Palak Patel was telling her relative that she wanted to return to India. Authorities believe that her husband didn’t share this sentiment. However, that doesn’t do much to explain why he thought killing her was the proper response.
If any evidence exists explaining why his wife’s desire to return home was such a terrible thing to Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, it has not been made public.
Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel Wiki: Where Is He Now?
As mentioned earlier, authorities lost track of Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel on the morning of April 13, 2015, when he arrived at Newark Penn Station.
The District Court of Maryland for Anne Arundel County issued a local warrant for his arrest that same day. A federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court a week later, on April 20.
Investigators have stated that Patel could be staying with other family members in the U.S., citing Illinois, New Jersey, Georgia, and Kentucky as states in which he has connections. The authorities also believe that he could have made his way to Canada, and he has either remained there or returned to India.
The FBI is currently offering a reward of $100,000 to anyone who has information about the current whereabouts of Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel.
