A man has been arrested due to allegations of child abuse after Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies found his daughter with visible signs of physical abuse.

Six-Year-Old Child Found with Injuries
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday (April 2), Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies answered a call in regards to a man abusing his daughter.
When officers arrived at the home near East State Street in the Village of Hanover, they discovered a six-year-old girl with visible injuries. The girl’s 46-year-old father was also present in the home at the time of the officer’s arrival.
The little girl was first taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Health for her injuries, but was later airlifted to Mott Children’s Hospital. As of this writing, the child is still currently in their care.
The father was arrested due to allegations of child abuse, and brought to Jackson County Jail.
