A lot of people are now taking a stand against sexual harassment and bringing it out in the open. In fact, after the Harvey Weinstein sexual allegations first surfaced, many more women are coming forward with their stories. Many other well-known public figures are being accused of misbehaving and sexually harassing their co-stars or other women, including Louis C.K. and Kevin Spacey. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Recently, allegations were made against United States Senator Al Franken by Leeann Tweeden. Tweeden alleges that, in 2006 during a USO tour, Franken forcibly kissed her while practicing for a skit.

On November 16, 2017, Tweeden revealed, “It happened so fast. He mashed his lips against my face and stuck his tongue in my mouth so fast. All I can remember is that his lips were really wet and slimy and in my mind I called him ‘fish lips’ the rest of the trip. That’s what it reminded me of.”

Tweeden further added, “He stuck his tongue down my mouth and I remember I pushed him off with my hands and I remember I almost punched him – because every time I see him now my hands clinch into fists. And I said, ‘If you ever do that to me again, I won’t be so nice about it the second time.’ I walked out away from him and I wanted to find a bathroom and rinse my mouth out. I was disgusted.”

The former Playboy model also released a photo allegedly showing Franken groping her breasts while she was asleep on a military aircraft.

Franken apologized to Tweeden for his behavior. Of course, a lot of people have expressed their anger towards Franken on social media. President Donald Trump also decided to take a dig at him and posted a series of tweets.

Donald Trump’s Tweets

Trump wrote, “The Al Frankenstien picture is really bad, speaks a thousand words. Where do his hands go in pictures 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 while she sleeps? …..”

Trump posted another tweet about Franken: “And to think that just last week he was lecturing anyone who would listen about sexual harassment and respect for women. Lesley Stahl tape?”

While a lot of people criticized Franken for the allegations made against him, people did not fail to point out that Trump could be said to have endorsed sexual assault by saying, “Grab ’em by the p***y.”

It’s interesting to note that Trump was quick to comment on the Al Franken situation, but until now he hasn’t said anything about Republican Roy Moore who has been accused of sexual misconduct by many women.
