
Temple and Philadelphia police are currently investigating the death of Daniel Duignam, after he was shot on Saturday (May 5). He was described as a very sweet and ambitious person.
Daniel Duignam’s family is currently mourning the loss of their 21-year-old son. He was found dead on Saturday with apparent gunshot wounds in his off-campus apartment on the 1700 block of Diamond Street. Officials are currently investigating the case, but no arrests have been made at this time.

Who Was Daniel Duignam?
21-year-old Daniel Duignam was from Tatamy, Pennsylvania. He attended Nazareth Area High School, and went by Danny Duignam on Facebook.
While in high school, Duignam played basketball and was on the track and field team. His coach, Ken Termini described Duignam as a fine young man who was nice and very polite.

Duignam loved basketball. He played AAU basketball for several years at In the Zone, a sports training facility in Bath, Pennsylvania. He often attended camps and clinics there.

Studied Business at Temple University
On his LinkedIn profile, Duignam mentioned that he was a third-year business student at Temple University. He enrolled in 2015, and was studying risk management and insurance. He was also part of several clubs like the Gamma Iota Sigma fraternity, and the Association for Information Systems. Duignam was set to graduate in 2019.

His Family and Friends
His family is well-known in Tatamy Borough, a small community in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. Duignam’s grandfather, Luke Duignam was the community’s former mayor.
The friendships he made seemed to be close ones, as three of his friends are listed as brothers on his Facebook page.
Shot Three Times
Just before 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, Duignam was found dead in his apartment. He lived on the first floor, and there were no signs of forced entry. According to reports, Duignam was shot in the chest, groin, and forearm.
