Amber Alert: Eye-Witness Described Titusville Girl in Probable Abduction Case

An Amber Alert for an unnamed Titusville girl has been issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Witnesses claim to have seen the unknown female being pulled into an SUV by her hair.

An African-American girl, who might be between 12 and 15 years old, was last seen on May 15 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. A man claims that his daughter saw the female being pulled into a charcoal SUV around the 1600 block of Barna Avenue, near Kings Court in Titusville, Florida.

Michael Henderson said that his daughter saw the girl being pulled into the car by her hair. The girl was wearing a green polo shirt, khaki pants, and had dreads in her hair.

Henderson’s wife, Rebecca Henderson, explained that the unknown girl was taken while their daughter was about to leave for school. She claimed to have heard a scream and came running out, thinking something happened to her daughter.

Rebecca Henderson added that she went outside when the SUV was leaving. She said that the girl was grabbed by her hair and was kicking and screaming, trying to punch them off and seemingly trying to get out of the vehicle.

The Henderson’s daughter helped authorities create a sketch of the girl. Investigators revealed that all students who were not at school that day were accounted for.

Authorities are still trying to determine if this is a kidnapping case but based on the statements given by eye witnesses, they have reason to believe it is. They don’t have a license plate number for the SUV, but say that it is a newer model, with a tire on the back.

The unknown girl is described as having black hair, brown eyes, and being approximately 5’5”. Anybody with information about the incident or girl is asked to call Titusville Police at 321-264-7800, or 911.
