Justice will finally be served to the family of Kryshtian Avila, who was shot to death on January 30, 2018. Police arrested four suspects related to the case.
On January 30, 2018, police were sent to the 11800 block of Autumn Street in the Southern area of Fontana, California, where a shooting occurred.
The victim, identified as 29-year-old Kryshtian Avila, was shot to death at around 3:30 p.m. in what officials believed was gang-related.
They also revealed that Avila was a documented gang member and a father of two. According to sources, when Avila was on the sidewalk, a car pulled up and shot several rounds at him. He died at the scene.
Avila’s Facebook profile lists him as a former student of Henry J. Kaiser High School.
On Thursday (March 8), Fontana police revealed that they arrested four men who are reportedly connected to Avila’s death, thank to the the help of leads. It was through their intel that authorities determined the murder to be gang-related, and triggered by an old grudge.
On March 2, officials arrested 27-year-old Antonio Ruiz and booked him into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. He was charged with murder and gang enhancements. As of now, Ruiz pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
On March 1, 27-year-old Ronny Buzenes of Fontana, 36-year-old Rolando Delgado of Rialto, and 25-year-old Manuel Ibarra of Mira Loma were arrested.
They were taken into custody “on suspicion of being an accessory to murder.” Sgt. Kevin Goltara said they were arrested “because of their involvement with covering up the crime and disposing of evidence related to the crime.”
All the three suspects were reportedly charged with gang enchantments and accessory to murder.
As of now, detectives are searching for witnesses and will continue investigating the case. People who have knowledge or information about the murder has been asked to contact the officials.
