When officials and SC Highway Patrol went to that area to try to find the driver, they received a second call about a Greenwood shooting. The officers were informed about gunshots being fired at Stop-A-Minit, a convenience store located at SC-72 in Greenwood.

Officials confirmed that a state trooper went to the scene and gunshots were fired. Around 5:18 p.m., a teen gunshot victim was admitted to the Self Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim was a 17-year-old male, and was shot several times. Officials reported that investigation is currently ongoing and they are questioning a person of interest.

There are no details about the identity of the victim, nor the motive behind the shooting. On Wednesday night, crime investigators were taking measurements and creating markings on the parking lot at the gas station.
