An infant was pronounced dead on arrival in hospital after her adoptive father forgot her in his truck for a whole day. Nashville police are currently investigating.
A one-year-old girl was allegedly forgotten in a pickup truck by her adoptive father in East Nashville. The girl’s adoptive mother found the child inside the vehicle, which was parked outside their home.
The child was rushed to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The adoptive father reportedly dropped off another child at daycare and forgot the infant in his truck for the remainder of the day.
The adoptive mother found the girl in the truck outside of their Virginia Avenue home on the evening of May 23, 2018.
The 2,504-square-foot home has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. It is valued at $461,000 by Zillow.com.
The adoption agency from where the baby girl was adopted was not yet interviewed about the parents and their backgrounds. It is unclear as to whether the adoptive father will face any charges.
At this time, the investigation is ongoing.
