1 Shot Dead, 1 Injured Following Shooting at Medusa Nashville

Nashville police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a hookah lounge called Medusa Nashville on Tuesday (May 1) night. One man died, while another suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. According to police, what started as a fight inside the lounge escalated into a shooting. 

Police officers were called to Medusa Nashville at around 11:15 p.m. on May 1 regarding a fight. The hookah lounge is located at 1805 Church St. in Nashville, Tennessee and was open when police arrived. According to officials, a large crowd of people were exiting the building and gunshots were heard when they approached the scene.

One Man Died, Another Lived

A man with gunshot wounds collapsed on the street. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. Another victim was taken to TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center by a private vehicle. He had suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police Investigating the Incident

There is an ongoing police investigation into this incident, but at the moment it is not clear what exactly happened or who fired the shots.
